The Pipe Fox

Though going by other names, this creature was once summoned by priests and monks into bamboo pipes to answer questions for the summoner. As these creatures become more spiritually attuned they evolve into powerful supernatural beings who can change between their long slender dragon form and a small multi-tailed fox.

Dragon Form - This form can range in size from the size of a great worm, to that of a tiny mouse. There is speculation though that this is merely an illusion and the average real size of a pipe fox in dragon form is no larger than a horse. While in this form the fox spirit can glide or hover. Their bodies are exceptionally light and easily drift on the wind.

Fox Form - This form is no larger than an average size cat, and smaller than average foxes. They are swift footed and love to run. Though rare, these creatures prefer mountain or heavily forested homes. They tend not to come too close to humans as they find it bothersome to have to answer questions all the time.

Defense Both forms can breath supernatural fire. This fire though not hot, tends to have a mind of its own and will chase away any intruders. The Pipe Fox tends to be a docile and gentle creature but can be easily startled, using its fire to make a quick get away and scare away intruders.
