Hey Y'all, I'm back after a couple days at my new place without internet. Man it's hard to be cut-off from you guys like that, makes me realize how dependent I am on the internet. o_o Anyway I've been working on some drawings like I promised. This is one that I actually finished the line-work for the day I left.
This is considered cannon in the Pinky story, and much to the Camaro haters out there this probably takes place in order with the rest of the stuff. The Camaro appears to be enjoying his attention while Pinky awaits her fate in the junkyard.. life sure is fair isn't it?
This was kind of inspired from all those 'sexy babe with sports car pin-ups' and 'sexy carwash' pictures I've seen on the net and in movies, you know the ones I mean, some hot chick in a bikini washing some sexy hotrod in an overly sexual manner? I've always kinda laughed at those whenever the car's 'face' looks real smug and happy, it kind gives off the impression that the car is just loving the attention and feels like a total pimp having all these female models rubbing themselves all over him. XD
Obviously though, it would have been totally out of character to have Violet acting in such a way, though this probably is the most scantily dressed I've yet to have her adult form in, your classic bikini-top and cut-off jeans.. yeah baby! : 3 I also noticed I've yet to draw her adult form without long hair and since this kinda looks like a summer themed picture I decided to have her kinda having her hair cut a bit shorter. ^^
While maybe not obvious this picture was also an opportunity for me with the Camaro as well. You know, with just about everything I've drawn that's a piece of fan-art of some sort. I find myself as I stop looking at references I start drawing said character out of form and kinda letting my own style take over. I did the same thing with Irkens, and I did so with cars as well. I mean heck, if you look at the real Pinky from the movie she actually looks almost nothing like how I draw her in my comics. heh.. Same with the Camaro, so for this picture I went back to basics with real photo references of the 85' IROC Z Camaro and drew him as accurately as possible, actually very little is changed in this picture from the real Camaro's design he's based off of.. outside of obviously the pupils and expressions. Something I was told too late a while back is that his year Camaro didn't have the spoiler.. but oh well.
I'm thinking this picture will look much better in full color and shading, maybe when I get moved in and get my old computer here in WA I can do so, but that'll be a while.
