I was whomping up designs for a lil' group called "friends of wildlife". Just for a goof, I included a sketch of a human and a deer sittin' on the couch, being pals. And a rabbit.
They liked it enough to have me ink that sucker up. Always include ALL your idea sketches at a presentation, even the ones you think are a joke - you never know what the client will like!

Cute drawing, nicely done.
I have no idea if this group is like most groups of this type. World Wildlife Fund, for example, is a highly visible and effective fund raiser. But, to the best of my knowledge, they have yet to donate so much as a single cent to wildlife directly, something like wildlife management or a preserve or sanctuary. Their fundraising goes toward more fundraising, advertising, and some rather outrageous salaries for the executive types. There was a cartoon many years ago where some suits (fat cat type) were busily grinding away on a money machine labeled WWF, with a small group of animals standing to one side, saying "Could you spare a bit of that for us?"
My apologies for the cynicism, but that has been my experience.
