I have a lava lamp now.
It's awesome, I always wanted one.
I bought it from Spencer's.
The lava is actually a very vivid hot pink,
but my camera couldn't handle such awesomeness.
Also, you all are probably wondering what kind of skull I have there.
That would be a bobcat.
On the other side is my trilobite fossil, and my ancient shark tooth.
Collecting fossils and bones happen to be one of my hobbies.
I understand it isn't for everyone, so if you are against it,
I apologize.
Mainly, though.
I have A LAVA LAMP.
FINALLY.
It took hours for it to get flowing!

There have been some very interesting versions through the years.
This page has links to each model based on the year they were introduced, you'll have to scroll down a bit: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/page/lava-library

What I like doing with my lamps is letting them heat up, turn it off till the lava settles and shines over then turn it on again, if done right it will make awesome spurts of wax spew up and harden =P once that happens I turn it off and it stays that way till you turn it on again lol
Here is an example of the last one I did X3
