Still Looking at that Mirror and Hugging Daddy!
This is my last picture from this set. Angie is still looking at our reflections in the mirror. She's just over a year old here and is starting to figure out how things like mirrors work. But one thing is for sure she loves her Rat Daddy and hugs his cheek ruff nice and tight!
Of course I had to keep her from yanking on my whiskers! Thankfully she hasn't tried to pull my ears yet, though she did poke me in the eye! She is wonderfully curious and very comfortable with me in suit.
I love her bunches and bunches!

You've no idea how much this image both angers me, and makes me happy.
On one hand, the immediate social response is "That's going to make the kid grow up all weird!" comes to mind, eliciting the anger and outrage.
But god am I glad I can see past that bullshit. The nature of us as human beings is the aspect that we seek to closet ourselves from things that are "Different" or "Unusual" in such a way as to make our daily perceptions of reality confused at something it's not seen before. The only way to move forward and advance as a race is to challenge those social stigmas, and learn the acceptance in which can make this world a better place universally.
Thank you for doing this. It made my day.

I think we all seek those that make us more comfortable. I wonder how many furs have close non-fur friends for instance.
Still, my little girl won't think there's anything weird about furry, even if she doesn't want to be one in the end. That won't bother me at all.

Neither of my parents are members of the furry fandom, but my Dad has loved Triceratops quite a bit since he was a kid. Thanks to him I have read books like "The Enormous Egg" where we meet Mr. Beasley the Triceratops. Like me, he has a statue of a Triceratops on his desk, and so forth. His favorite part of Jurassic Park was Dr. Grant laying against the Triceratops's belly to listen to its heartbeat and feel its breath.
Not officially furry, but he's as close as you get to it without being part of it when it comes to the Triceratops.
