This is my version of Kronos, who's probably my favorite character in the whole pantheon of gods and titans and what-have-you. He's just amazing and I love him. Anyway, story time!
The same story as Kronos, but with a bit of a twist. He was twisted by his mother Gaea and made to overthrow his Father, Ouranos. He was not ready for the pressure and power that came with ruling the heavens, but he did so as best as he could, bringing the humans into a golden age where hardly any sins were committed. However, he was fairly paranoid and after locking up the cyclopes and the hecatoncheires to solidify his power, Gaea once again spoke her twisted words to him and promised that one of his sons would overthrow him, just as he did to Ouranos.
Paranoid and now determined to escape his fate, he ate his children as they were born, but one of they was carted away by a trick on his wife's part. Zeus later came back and overthrew his father, fulfilling the prophecy, and threw Kronos into Tartarus. There Kronos, the Lord of Time, waited and schemed to escape, all while learning of the far worse horrors that were waiting in the deep depths of the abyss.
Over the centuries, he regrew in strength and was able to manifest enough of his essence outside of Tartarus to seduce and impregnate Gaea, now the Angel known as Ayolith (Mother Earth), who birthed a son and who, in turn, helped to birth another son (Ciel). Kronos then corrupted a schizophrenic orphaned male into learning horrible dark magic, who then captured Ciel, who had been banished to the mortal world for trying to overthrow Elohim (God). The human used ancient blood magic, using blood from Ciel, to summon Kronos out of the pit and accept the Titan Lord into his body, who proceeded to scheme once again to rule the Heavens, this time intent on taking his throne back from Elohim, who had previously been Zeus in a past era - this time having learned his lessons and become a lot wiser.
After building up his army once again and systematically targeting all of the realms except for Limbo/Purgatory, Kronos has a huge confrontation with Elohim again and, with renewed, but weakened, Titans and various other minions, such as vampires and demons, he nearly succeeds in taking the throne again. He's narrowly defeated and when Elohim, angry with Kronos for his scheming ways, is about to throw him back in Tartarus, Kronos begs for mercy and a second chance, revealing the corruption that Gaea had put upon him and of the horrors he had experienced in his rule and later on understood once he was in Tartarus. He reveals that there was a greater threat all along and he wanted to make a strong world united under him who could survive the oncoming assault from a demon none of them had experienced before.
He gets his chance and his body is reworked to allow the mortal to die in peace and go to Heaven, as his mind had been pretty much destroyed when Kronos took over his body.
Kronos gets a second chance and is regressed to a teenager to regrow and re-develop without corruption in this brand new body and help Elohim prepare for the real, true threat lurking in the deep pits.
