I am a kinda crazy, so, I've got a HUGE needle through my nipples and then left a piece of steel in there. And, no, it did not hurt as I expected. The fact is, the clamp hurt more than the needle.

Yeah, its a strange thing. When I saw the size of the needle, I thought of giving up and walking away, but I barelly felt it. Well, I did hurt because mine was pierced with a cateter, and that plastic bit stings a little, but, less than clamping and overall less than I thought. And now I've got these nice piercings, so, totally worth it :P

I am sorry, but piercings are not my thing. If anything, I would be one of those people
who had a smiley face tattooed on my thumb, or a dragon across my back.
Beyond that, I am not into body modification.
