The Emperor of the Dreamlands is Blind Azathoth, who I insist upon potraying as having so many eyes he cannot possibly focus upon any particular thing, in an attempt to emphasize his chaotic aspect. It's always pleasant to draw his eyes.

Azathoth is of course a creation of HP Lovecraft.

I always used to imagine Azathoth as an overwhelming voluminous space filled with glowing cold, but your version makes me think of an oppressively hot space filled to claustrophobic porportions with greasy alien flesh. I love both versions. :D

Somehow, the phrase "Demon Sultan", along with the maddening piping and the dancers, conjures the redness in my brain, not sure why. =) Lovecraft was so vague that it really lets one's imagination get carried far, far, far away, to some very strange places XD.
