This is one of those "Please...don't ask" commissions. As in, don't ask WTF is going on here, or WTF Drip T. Rat is even _doing_ in this picture. Especially don't ask how the hell he got his feet into those itty-bitty shoes. Another commission for the guy who likes the mind-control stuff and period costumes.

I guess so. The person who commissioned it sent me a contemporary illustration with that outfit. Those checkers were a pain in the ass to do. I'm sure if that's any more idiotic looking than the red shoes with bows that Drip has to wear, which are also from a contemporary illustration.

Actually, that does have a distinctive 20's look for the couple in the back; but it doesn't look American - more London, or "Weimar Republic" Berlin.
The "Drip Rat" character's jacket and slacks look almost Edwardian, or pre-World War I (except that most men would have worn hats out-of-doors at that time). The shoes...I frankly cannot place.
