Rin. I wanted to do something super detailed and rin really likes detailed art vs cutesy so I drew him ya super close up but shaded and detailed.
Done in 7 layers (I normally use 2 adding a layer for tears or glasses)

Thank you. This canvas is 3000 by 3000 with size 1 pen as all my art is (though the eye lashes are higher cuz detail an stuff and tiny characters in a large group I'll use a smaller pen for)but this is super close up while normally I do a full body or even a group picture on that size as 3000 by 3000 is about the highest quality fa will take and higher derps my gimp anyways theres not much I can do. If you know any way to fix this please do tell.
3000 by 3000 is super big @_@; I don't think you need to make the canvas any bigger Ari, tbh most artists user smaller ones, and also they use different size ones for each kind of image.
for a single character pic i use an 8 by 10 inch(576by720 pixels) canvas as that would be the same size as a piece of paper irl. (sometimes i turn it over to make a 10x8, especially if there are two characters and they are sitting.)
for icons or headshots i use a 400x400 pixel canvas and later shrink it to 100x100 so all commissioners can have both copies.
bigger canvases like 3000x3000 are really good for group pics though.
Also i don't know if you save as JPEG or PNG but i would recommend PNG to get the best color quality on more detailed pics.
