So I made this cake back in July last year, but I am just now getting around to posting it.
This was a 4 tiered Devils Food cake with Swiss Vanilla Buttercream filling. It was my first time doing a 4 tiered wedding cake, so i was really nervous about completing it. I think it came out ok though. The Bride and Groom kept saying how much they loved it.
Oh, and that wedding topper? The Bride is grabbing the Groom's ass in the back. Luv how funny this couple was! XD

Although I was formally trained, I don't actually make cakes for a living. It's more of an....expensive hobby. X3 I would love to make cakes for a living, but I want to be able to be creative with the cakes...and not have to do them out of a book with mediocre materials like you'd find at Safeway or Albertsons...And Thank you. ^.^
I've thought about it, but at the same time, I have no idea how to run my own business, and it's very expensive here where I live to be able to open a small business.....so I don't have the start up funds I'd need to be able to do it. I mostly like doing it for fun, so I don't charge a lot for things like this. Since this couple were family friends, the cake only cost them about 200$ where as in a bakery, it'd probably be closer to 400$.
You're most welcome, and your thoughtfulness regarding beginning a commercial enterprise is most impressive. Over the years I've plunged into a number of businesses (including a small restaurant) based on proficiency in a field rather than a sound business plan. The results were predictably chaotic.
