"Every great thing has it's beginnings in something small."
A Bali Mynah (Leucopsar rothschildi), endemic to the island of Bali in Indonesia. They are one of the most critically endangered bird species in the world, hovering above extinction for several years now. So much so that a national park has been set up just for the Bali Mynah's survival.
They prefer to use tree tops for cover an unlike other starling, usually come to the ground only to drink or to find nesting materials. Their diet includes fruit, seeds, worms and insects and they grow to about 25 cm (10 in) in length and weight at about 70-115 g (2.5-4.1 oz).
The bird has become the national symbol of the Island of Bali.
