I hate drawing on the computer.
this goddamn thing took 45 minutes to draw.
I could've whipped this up in 10 on paper.
why is it so HARD to draw a Goddamn line in SAI
or Photoshop.
I actually had to tape printer paper on my Wacom tablet
so my hands would stop sweating while I draw. I don't get it.
it feels like I"m trying to draw in the car, constantly hitting bumps
and never able to sit still, like I'm struggling so hard to keep the
lines straight. almost like drawing with my left hand. I get how a
person could draw straight and quickly in this software but
goddamn!
whew,
well, basically I was gonna pic on persona for fun because it
seemed like an enjoyable thing to do especially when it just came
to more practicing in digital work, but JEEZUS! even playing is
hard to do.
I'm just having a hard time having fun anymore it seems.
eh well.
it's so hard to keep a line straight.
i may consider illustrator for line work but considering experience and
speed it would almost triple the time this image took.
so 45 min x 3 = 2hours 15 min
that is way too long for me.
and of course considering that I have to put a time frame
on everything could be the reason it's so hard to have fun with
things anymore.
I have nothing important in life I need to do that requires a
tight schedule, and yet it feels like I need to speed up in
order to save time.
anywho,
random shit, I may not even keep this image up,
I just wanted a reason to bitch and complain.
sorry about that.

drawing on the comper defiantly is something that takes practice and is learned..... it's nothing like drawing on papper. It's like trying to say a bicycle and a motercycle are the same thing .... x.x no x.x lol
Most trying to make the transition do the tracing on paper scan it and then go from there from what i'm told.

Ok, I can give you bunch of reasons why it's hard to draw on tablet.
1- Have you thought, it's not your fault, but the tablet is not well calibrated? I had a tablet, cheapy one, I couldn't get to draw on the same lines, they always come off set, so I brought a ruler over, and drew a line, then I drew the line again, it wasn't drawn over the first line, but abit off, and wasn't stright, it was all jagged.
2- It could be you not used to lining on tablet yet, so draw sketches at start till you hand get used to it.
It took me a month, drawing random things from sketches to colored ones, so I was fully able to get my lines the way I want.
3- Use the right tool/software, I see people use the (ink pen) tool in SAI for lining, it's good for mouse, but for tablet, the ink pen will correct your lines <_< it pissed me off when I tried it.
4- Tablet pressure level.
Hope those tips helped, drawing digital is not much like paper pencil, just take your time.

oh yea,
I've done that too.
and even still I'm not really happy with my lines.
I think sometimes it's just a matter of having a problem
that you don't really know how to ask for help.
I understand what it is that I'm doing wrong,
but I don't know what questions to ask in order to correct it.
I think I can figure it out soon enough.
thanks a bunch for the insight.

You mention it feels shaky like a bumpy car, and sweaty hands (Sweaty hands is a new one to me o_O) are you maybe gripping the pen harder than necessary? I've done that before with the tablet, and also sometimes in using a calligraphy pen; you don't want sore fingers! Just thought I'd mention...
With how frustrating it sounds, why do you even need to be able to draw on tablet if you can do it perfectly fine on paper and use a webcam for streaming? Maybe you'd even only really need the tablet for coloring after scanning it?
But I can see how the pricetag from buying the tablet screams, "USE ME!"

Wow I sure am posting here a lot....
I hadn't used my tablet with this current computer before, and I had to actually manually change the settings for the different shaped screen.
I don't know about yours, but my Bamboo has a setting in the control panel to change the shape of the area of the tablet surface that's actually used. Naturally I thought that area should to be set to match the shape of the screen.
My test was that I should be able to take a ruler and put it at a 45-degree angle on the tablet and draw a line, and the line on the screen should also be at the same angle. It took some trial-and-error but it made a HUGE difference! Like, the lines more closely match what I'm actually doing with my hand. And that's what you want in a tablet, right? :3
