I could easily imagine a wish for omnipotence going screwy in ways that aren't fun. So, make wishes even the Genie can't mess up. For example, wish that the Sahara desert was as lush, wet and fertile as the Nile valley. No way a Genie could screw that one up. Then you can wish to be eternally your ideal age, and be immortal, wishes in that exact order.
