It's so cute! And better this than the alternative, as it makes them look focused. I had a drama teacher in high school whose eyes were split off to the side - and I didn't mind, but I have mild Aspergers and it's a conscious effort to make eye contact (it's pretty fucking hard when you're trying to do it, because it's impossible to keep up with saccades). It was impossible to figure out which eye to focus on...
