There was an artist a while back who called himself Victor Scale. He make these pictures of mostly mermaids, centaurs and nagas, but did branch out a bit. One of the last pictures of his I saw was a newly created mermaid at a photo shoot, surrounded by glossy pictures of Victor's prior works. It is a amusing idea, so when I saw this background I figured I would have to try my hand at it. After doing so, I can say sharks are hard to make. There are so many layers, and the nose, it is hard to get it sharp.
I can just envision a cunning painter luring models into the studio, and slowly changing them into new creatures with each stroke of the brush all the while they look at the works on the wall and assume its all fanciful paintings instead of still life.
The model is from from: imagine-stock.deviantart.com The paintings are all my own work.
