I decided to post this here as well as my other account on DA. I figure there are people here who would like it. Enjoy. :D
The story is taken from my post there too. Check out my other pieces there to get more of a story of this version of Ryo. :D
Ryo had hopped worlds again, when he arrived, he was surprised to find that the new one was populated by anthropomorphized cats. He managed to cast an illusion that made him look like a kat, and carried on with his business.
He learned this world was much more industrialized, and had a great deal of the same inventions that were present in other worlds, including airplanes and tanks.
It also was apparently a very dangerous city, as super villains were almost constantly trying to: a) take over the city; b) blow up the city; or c) plunder the city for money, resources, whatever.
It became clear that there were two groups that fought to subdue these threats. The first were the Enforcers, the police force for the city, lead by one Commander Ulysses Feral. They were very by-the-books and determined to protect the citizenry to their last breath, a shining example of self-sacrifice.
The other group was the vigilante duo known as the Swat Kats. T-Bone, Razor, and their Turbokat jet, were the idols of Megakat City, much to the chagrin of the Enforcers and their commander. While they still worked to do things through the letter of the law, the Swat Kats never put property and reputation before the safety of the populous.
The two differing ideologies, combined with a lingering animosity on the part of Feral and the Swat Kats themselves, caused friction between the two groups.
Ryo knew he had to try and resolve this tension. And what better way than for everyone to sit down and laugh together?
Even if they don't want to at first?
So he managed to capture the three of them right after an omega attack. Using a simple sleep spell to knock out everyone in the area, he spirited them away from the scene. Baring Feral's feet, he locked them all in stocks and tied up their arms before they woke up.
Understandably they were confused, upset, possibly even angry at this. He attempted to get them to talk with each other, to no avail. In fact, they all seemed even more riled up after that suggestion.
But all that changed when the first tools began moving up and down their feet. First reluctant smiles, then grins, then soft chuckles. But none of them could fight it, and soon were consumed with giggling, howling laughter.
Ryo smiled as he saw the three heroes of Megakat City united in their laughter. He knew that, while he might not have been able to ease all the tension, this would probably do a bit to help.
Getting an idea, he pulled out a new invention he'd found on this world, a 'camera'. He chose an older model because his world-hopping might take him places where electricity might be in its infancy or not exist at all.
Grinning, he snapped a photo and, still listening to them cackle, guffaw and chortle, watched it develop, marveling at it. Writing a quick caption, he prepared to make his leave.
He noticed one last thing before he left... One of them was secretly enjoying it. He could feel it. They all were to some degree, but one more than the others. But they were too close together for him to tell which. Shrugging, he left. He knew his magic would wear off. In a few hours.
As he left, he reveled in the fact that he'd managed to get not one, but three of the city's most handsome and powerful kats under his feathers. That, and he knew that one of them was actually happy he had.
