I finished the thing. Carth and his mount for a new RP group i’m trying out for. Proud of myself for getting better at drawing humans, but it still takes me ages to draw them out. Thanks to a bunch of buddies with helping me out with Carth himself. Good thing I have him as a base to dress him up into whatever I want.
The horse is based off of the Friesian body style, and Carth is a tall guy at 6’3.5”. I know pretty much nothing about horses and stuff, so I don’t now if the height ratio between beast and rider is correct. Oh well. Tried to give them a traveler look, since they are couriers that cross borders in order to deliver letters and light cargo.
I pretty much got a ton closer to drawing Carth’s face and body as I imagine it. Getting closer. So. Much. Closer.
I had the idea that the gemstones on the horse's antler thingies act as energy reserves that collect energy from the sunlight, like photosynthesis. This allows the horse to go about a week or more without needing sustenance from physical foods. I dunno I tried being original but I just gave a horse antlers. PFFFF
Oh well the more energy they get, they glow at night like little will-o-the-wisps. yeeeee~
