Just a few points on English....

If the characters are speaking standard English (and not a special Candeloran dialect), certains lines would read more idiomatically as:

"It's true... it's gone. Not even a rat could pass through." (Or, "Get through.")

"Stop raising dust!"

"Many caravans depart from Candelora...."

"I've got a friend who works at Candelora's seaport...." (Or, "I have a friend who works at Candelora's seaport...."

These are mere suggestions, nothing more.
