Boy... the gaptooth is really catching on with character designers, isn't it.
I've seen the 2012 TMNT series.... And honestly, it's pretty darn good. In many ways, it's superior to the last two incarnations of the series. The characters are not physically identical, they have distinct personalities, and unlike all iterations so far... They actually act like TEENAGERS. Inexperienced, overconfident and naive, but still bright-eyed and full of potential.
My only problems though....
I think it relies a bit too much on anime imagery.
"Booyakasha?" What kind of a stupid battle cry is that? It doesn't even roll off the tongue nicely. I will never accept "Booyakasha" as a TMNT phrase.
Also, I can't seem to get past Shredder's "Sexy black man" voice.

I love it! You managed to catch his look very well. Yes, I do agree about the designs (When I was young, I simply called them Ninja Turtles because they didn't look or act like teens. Their designs weren't bad, they just didn't look like teens.) and booyakasha. Cowabunga is still Mikey's catchphrase to me. Thank you very much!
