I recently found out that a friend from that BigFurs community got injured, leaving a few bruised ribs and other possible damages. Add in a desire to say "get well soon", mixed with my, uh, unique imagination, and this resulted!
Don't underestimate how long it takes to paint letters on a ginormous sandal-insole; it's a difficult task to defeet! :3
Four hours of sketching, with two layers... Various parts could be improved, but I wanted to get it out before going to bed that night. Drawing on a deadline, even if self-imposed, is a rather different experience, for sure! That being said, feel free to critique, and I'll take it into consideration for the next thing I draw. (I was going to put this in scraps, but those facial expressions...)
