This lovely blue beauty was an inspired work based on 
shin-goji, the creator of the comic "Twisted Kaiju Theater" who also brought about the flood of Kaiju Girls or K-Girls. You may have seen them floating around, a couple of the more prominent artists being 
jpalo, 
neveauxor and even 
marauder6272.
I always wanted to do my own, but my attempt at my own version of Gina was met with a not-so-friendly end from people, so I scrapped her. Jpalo likes to introduce other critters, some being Japanese robot heroes and I was feeling inspired after 'Pacific Rim" came out. I wanted to revive Gina, but I felt that bandwagon was kinda full and I was just standing there looking at it while everyone else had fun.
So, the solution was simple, I'd make my own Jaeger girl! It's funny 'cause Gipsy Danger is actually called a 'she' in the movie, so it worked out perfectly! Not sure if she's 100% done yet, I used my plug suit texture for the body so I could get something on her. The swords aren't exactly what I wanted, but I might just change the textures a bit.
The suit was fun to set up, I used a mix of all sorts of things, including 'Liquid Knight' from Uzilite, 'Grim Armor' pieces (still don't remember where I even got that), the 'Omni Sword' from Poison, and a base I made in Poser :D

The idea of a Jaeger girl is an interesting one, and pretty cool that you want to run with it :) I know what you mean about not so friendly reactions. I've had a few people look at my character Narcephine and say "You're just ripping off such and such" "You got your idea from Shin-goji or worst of all they say "You're using the term Kaiju just because you've seen pacific rim"
If you wanted to make your own Kaiju girl though, don't let other people put you off with their ignorance. Make something unique to call your own ^,..,^

I originally wanted to make a MEGAS XLR girl, but that's what I have Kiva for *giggles* and I loves your girl, so curvy an firm, people just don't realize that Kaiju is translated into 'strange creature', meaning that word has probably been in the Japanese language for ever. Sadly, the same people that didn't care for my version of Gina were the ones that wanted to see her the most... guess you can't win them all *shrugs*
The main problem is that Godzilla doesn't exist in the same time as Pacific Rim, he was well before them. Even if it were updated for modern times, the Jaegers are still years in the future. Basically, Godzilla would have already have existed and Jaegers created to stop him, not the Kaiju of their time. It'd be like having a starship from Next Gen fighting in the TOS era, without time traveling. I just don't see it happening.
That's a problem the storytellers will have to hash out... and remember, the upcoming Godzilla film is a Legendary/Warner Brothers production, just like Pacific Rim.
So yes. There WILL be a crossover. And I wanna see Jaegers duke it out with the King Of The Monsters, dammit!

*giggles* oh, I'm certainly not arguing, I just don't see how they're going to make it work to bring both timelines together. The ONLY way they could do it is AFTER Pacific Rim... but then that only leaves Gipsy Danger.
Now, if only we could get MEGAS XLR into a huge picture...

I'm happy with Megas XLR where it is... as a fond memory. We don't need more... and a live-action film would just have too many fans of the old series jumping ship due to Adaptation Decay.

The folks at Titmouse DID move on to other projects. That's kinda messed up, if you think about it... we, the fans, demanding that our favorite artists do the same thing forever. George Reeves had trouble finding work after "The Adventures Of Superman" for probably that same reason.

and i understand your complaints about "the people" who whine that "so and so is a rip off of so and so" those kinds of folks are the reason my Jura got a redesign to her current form

That movie. It promised us giant robots and giant monsters and it delivered. The fact that it had a badass, "Victory-has-a-price" and "Those we lose are never gone" storyline/moral made it one of those movies we'll look back to an be like. "Why weren't all the movies back then that good?"
And I used to lurk the TKT forums. That crowd can come down like a zerg swarm on something if a prominent user doesn't like it.

Because all the movies back then didn't exist! *giggles* Well, there was Robot Jox, not the best, but it was the only big budget giant robot movie before this came out. I also remember the b-movie, Robot Wars, that wasn't too bad.

I won't lie. K-girl Politics (And not everyone agrees with me on that term.) have always been rather complex and mean at times. No ones ever really been able to agree on particular standards or how the setting works. The mods got tired of dealing with all the drama over something that was originally meant to be for fun.
It's not always like that of course. There's unspoken agreements about every author or artists interpreting the k-girl vers in their own setting but not everyone agrees on what should stay constant apart from the "canon lineup" that were in the official galleries.
All the drama has severely cut down on the activity in the k-girl section of the forums sadly. Though this doesn't mean there isn't anything good there.
The community is still fairly tight. The move of the maintenance of the girls to the DA group has helped a lot.
