It's been a week and my heart still aches for her.
MY FOREVER PET
There's something missing in my home,
I feel it day and night,
I know it will take time and strength
before things feel quite right.
But just for now, I need to mourn,
My heart -- it needs to mend.
Though some may say, "It's just a pet,"
I know I've lost a friend.
You've brought such laughter to my home,
and richness to my days.
A constant friend through joy or loss
with gentle, loving ways.
Companion, friend, and confidante,
A friend I won't forget.
You'll live forever in my heart,
My sweet, forever pet.

Thank you! I had Cheyenne cremated too. As soon as we have the money, I will be buying an urn for her. Right now, it's one of those temporary urns. But I have found the perfect urn to purchase. It's a porcelain angel puppy curled up sleeping. I always called her my angel and now that's what she is.
Thanks for the fav as well!

You made it the first week Hun... It won't get better for a long time, but you know you can make it now. Cheyenne looks so tired. We come here for a while but eventually our bodies just fail on us. You know she is still with you. Talk to her. Let her know what you need her to hear.

I ache for you too.
We had a family cat of 20 years that we had to take to the vet over the winter. She's had a menagerie of health issues over the past few years, to the point she wouldn't even move or eat anything. We had her cremated and her ashes are in a decorative box provided by the vet's office. We hope to get an urn of some kind soon.
Bless you during your time of grief.

Thank you! Wow! 20 years is a long life for a cat. I wish I had my Cheyenne longer than I did. She wasn't even 10 yet.
I had her cremated as well. I found a charm that I am going to put some of her cremains in and the perfect urn. It's an angel puppy. I found some great places on the web to order urns.
