The fur texture and lighting is beautiful. However, I don't understand why people have started drawing the face fluff like that, how it basically is like a giant pom-pom on the side of an animal's face. It makes it look awkward because the fur is puffing back towards the fave instead of flowing like it does on an animal. I've seen quite a few bigger artists beginning to do it, and it gets this weird uncanny valley look on otherwise masterfully done pieces.

I am aware of how realistic fur's direction goes, but my choice in this piece was based on stylised and cartoonistic considerations- I personally think it's not awkward at all and even rather unique in some way, because sometimes 'going by the book' can be boring after awhile. I'm glad you liked the lighting and texture though, thanks!
