thin crescent day old new moon this evening. there was a rare super young crescent yesterday at sunset, but it was still too close to the sun and set over the mountain before I could see it...still this one is pretty cool.

thanks. I tried to get a few more with a larger zoom, but they didn't come out so good. too much turbulence so low in the sky and to get the exposure short enough the iso would have been too high and too noisy...the moon is surprisingly really hard to get what I regard as 'good' shots of.

well sometimes you just have to pause a moment and soak in the view with your own eyes and let the moment pass on it's own. It's nice at those times if you can physically share those moments with some one you care for...but alas such things life doesn't allow so often it seems and so there are cameras
