That's an Aztec calendar.
It was my biggest peeve of 2012. The nuts going on about the end of the world would have been a teensy more credible if they didn't flash the Aztec calendar every time they talked about the Mayan end of days.
Guess 3 interlocking gears weren't as easy to sell as decorated disks.
