A few years ago I went down to Discovery Cove in Florida. They had a sort of artifical reef there in which you could go swimming and diving, with all sorts of fish and several types of stingrays. It was absolutely spectacular, and one day just simply was not enough. The rays pictured here are the same types of rays they had in there. The top is a spotted eagle ray, the middle is a cow nose ray (my favorite) and the bottom is a southern ray.
When I asked for the piece, I told her about Discovery Cove and the rays there, but wasn't really sure what to expect. I was blown away by what I received, and this remains one of my all-time favorite pieces.
