The Apophysis program is excellent for producing abstract effects and backgrounds out of its fractal flames, but some times I see one that (with a little chop-n-'shop work) would stand on its own. I was just fiddling around with it when it produced something serviceable; I immediately recognized that I could make a decent fox out of it.
