Some of these elements kind of remind me about what they do with the Commodore 64 nowadays (you know, 30 years after the thing's been built they still find out incredible tweaks and effects). Just listen to this segment of the 2013 techdemo (and keep in mind that this is still a 4bit audio chipset).
