I had to wait until after Christmas to post this, as it was a gift for a good friend.
This is an illuminated title page for a sketchbook for Tycoon. As many friends will attest to, this took quite a bit of work for layout design, inking, coloring and gold gilding.
The sketchbook is pretty large...close to 11x17 in size. The design on the side started as a heraldic ribbon, but in the final design was made to resemble a sword.
Eventually, when I am all caught up on things, I would like to embellish the corners of the page with some extra design work.

KP, I can't begin to tell you how special of a gift this was! I feel a little silly just staring at it, but there's so much there to see. The colors really pop with the gold gilding really catching your eye. The little paws were a really nice touch too! I absolutely love it!
