This is a Gryphon head that I made with an Ornate Hawk-Eagle in mind!

Made with missmonster resin base that I altered a lot to make it into a moving jaw. This mask has a moving jaw, sewn in markings with airbrushing, resin the nostrils dremeled out for ventilation, section under the beak dremeled out and screened off for added ventilation, TONS of real feathers weft into place, and eyes that you actually see out of.
The base/eyes were from
missmonster a long time ago and has long been discontinued. I have one more to use at some point but I'm still deciding what to make with it (I keep thinking buckbeak so I might just have to do that).
The fox colored fur is very discontinued as well and I have a little of my own left over to make a partial to finish this off at some point.

Sweet! I love ornate hawk-eagles! I made a soft sculpture plush for the Anthrocon Charity Auction last year based on an ornate hawk-eagle because they're just SO beautiful... The ventilation under the beak is a great idea -- I'll keep that in mind when I get around to making my own gryphon head. Inspirational!
