I rescued a kitten a few weeks ago. Her name is Toulouse Minouse Fluffbottom and she is the sweetest creature, but possibly also the most expensive.

Sometimes vets have payments plans, depending on where you go. Ours does; we take him to a Petsmart that has a vet service inside of it. We spend about $18 a month, and we rarely have to drop any money on visits that would cost us hundreds of dollars at a time. I'd recommend it for sure.
Well, the services they offer are in an animal hospital connected to our Petsmart!! It's super nice and useful, because we pick up food and stuff, then can take him to get shots at the same time. I'd look into it, especially for checks ups and vaccinations and stuff that has to be done, but not suuuper hard to do.
It's amazing how much vets can cost, but if you develop a good rapport with them it can be very worth it financially! Especially if they have your file on hand and know your situation. I was incredibly uneasy with our new vet after the first visit (300+ for tests) but after we put our senior cat through treatment they could tell we really cared about our cat's quality of life, they've really been amazing (giving us some discounts here and there, letting us know when treatments aren't worth pursuing) and I'm glad we didn't bail on them after the tests :>
Hang in there! She's young so she'll bounce back and be healthy in no time! Make sure to bring her for annual check ups though, it goes a long way financially to do preventative care :>
