This particular Combat Armor is no build for speed but more than make up for such shortcomings with its nearly impervious armor and devastating weaponry. A single Goliath is quite a fearsome sight on the battlefield but when deployed in squads of 12 or more, they are an absolute nightmare

Yes, but nothing like beam cannons or rail guns. In some cases the Goliath's sword and shield can be traded out for duel 155mm heavy cannons and a mortar launcher on the back of the unit. technologically the Goliath and Hellbringer are a cross between esclaflowne mecha and ACs from armored core with WW2 style weaponry.
I can definitely see the Escaflowne/AC influence in this. I was gonna say something about the legs being very much from AC, but then I read your earlier replies.
This thing is awesome though. Just my style, no grace, just lots of hurt. Too bad about the armament though. To me this thing is begging for some big gun action, but at the same time I can easily see this thing just walking up to an enemy and doing a nice spinning back handed chop... thing... >.> The color scheme is awesome and I'm even liking the head design. I want one!

Vattshu / The Black Knight for the main, with some VERY clean inspiration shield-wise from the LED Mirage, and the head is highly reminiscent of the Knight Of Gold in the movie (I forget which of the versions specifically). The sword, though... Rainbow Boowray? Not sure. Very much one I've seen somewhere else, that sword.
VERY nice use of pose and layout, and it shows a strong Nagano influence.
I like!
