Yeah, looking good. If you want my opinion, the line of the muscle going from the neck up to the ear looks a little... off. Shouldn't it terminate below the jawline instead of continuing on to the edge of the jaw? I mean doesn't that muscle attach to the base of the skull, so it would be a little shorter and rotated to the left in the image, near it's "top". I couldn't find a similar pose on google images quickly, or I'd just post a link to what I mean.
But that's a minor criticism - I think you have the basic head shape and face profile well done and that's like 90% of the battle, right?

The front line of the tendon stops at the base of the ear. the back of the tenton i could probably draw in would end further back against the back of the skull at the base of his ear as well

hehe, take a moment to grape around that tendon on your neck at the base while moving your head around. Thats what I did XD
Again this fall's back to my process of study with anatomy. i do this with every part of the body. studying how it moves how it connects. The more i study it and think about it the more i understand how to draw it :3

Yeah, it feels like mine ends just below the jawline. Right about where the jawbone curves up. Maybe I'm not doing it right
Totally agree that it's really important to have an understanding of anatomy to have your drawings look right. It's something I work at, but I feel I have so much to learn. Only downside is that the more you learn, the easier it is to spot things that don't look quite right in other people's art. It was so much easier to be blissfully ignorant! But now, going back and looking at pieces I used to like, the flaws just jump out at me.
But there is a limit to how much a person can study from themselves. Particularly with furry art. If only I could use self-study to get better at drawing ears and muzzles LOL

You should check out a pretty interesting piece by Sycra over on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb0g_gWrNf8). He has an interesting perspective on how people advance in leaning how to DO art and how to SEE art, and how the two work together.
It's kind of what I'm talking about, so if you have that issue as well then I'm glad it isn't just me! I'm assuming you meant plagued by seeing more as you learn more, and not plagued by being unable to use your own body for a reference to furry pics! LOL

I think the YT thing is worth a watch. If you want, let me know what you think. I follow notes if you don't want to fill up your sketch comments!
And yeah, I totally know what you mean. Artists works I saved because I really liked them at the time, as I learn more, I go back and look and think "why didn't I notice this, and this and this..." Which sucks because the piece didn't get worse, I just got more nitpicky! Maybe one reason people get burned out on the fandom when they start getting good? Don't know.
