Don't have the dollars for postage (or all the neccessary snailmail addresses) to send all my friends and fans a Yulecard. So here's the low-cost electronic version for you cheap bas......tions of democracy.
Yes, for what it's worth, Karno wishes all you FA-ers a Merry Yule and Happy New Year. Why not? Beats a miserable Yule and a horrendous new year, right?

machineguns are sometimes underrated, a proper machine gun can shoot short bursts with the same accuracy as an assault rifle. just keep your fingers away from any "vulcan style" guns. they have a significant spinup time until they reach their full rate, and the spinning barrels reduce accuracy drastically, so they are imho no good for short accurate bursts.
if I'd wish for a machine gun I'd be this one or this one
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG3
its american counter part, the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_machine_gun (although it has only half the fire rate of the MG3)
or the Russian https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PKM_machine_gun
I think the Russian gun might be the best gun overall as its lighter, has quite a good firing rate at long range, but it uses the old Russian 7.62x54mmR (rimmed) ammunition - although still in use nonstop since 1891, it might be hard to come by unless you are in a former east block country ;)
Both M60 and MG3 are built for the standard 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge, which has the exact same dimensions as the .308 winchester you could get in any hunting supply shop
problem with any gun (and machine guns in particular) is the need for ammo supply and its cost
so maybe...
I should rather wish for a good old Japanese style sword

The Vulcan minigun actually fires as soon as it starts rotating, and with a constant stream of bullets can easily be walked onto a target and held there, as it lacks the irregular recoil of a single-barrel weapon. With the fancy mounts they're using, it can be faster on target and stay there better.
And while .308 is approximately the same shape as 7.62x51, they aren't interchangeable; .308 has a higher chamber pressure and thinner brass, and often employs a variety of different weight bullets for varying purposes that may under- or over-gas a firearm not designed to handle it.

9mm is all you need for most medium to small game. Even humans, if you're a bad shot, then get a bigger caliber. As for large game, 45. Will do ya, though your range is shite. And nothing quite beats a 7mm rifle for accuracy and oomph. Least in my personal opinion.
I got my nieces a bow and arrow set for gift day (agnostic) scary how accurate those two are.
Happy Yule time Karno! May your ammo be plentiful, your shots never miss and your supplies never run dry
