The castle of Olivier de Crimeu, called "the wolf" by the terrorised citizens of Lyon and surrounding. It's built on a high rock in a adjacent valley of the Rhone; the only way in and out is the drawbridge leading over a huge sheer.
Being a real robber baron, he is used to capture moneybags and holds them to ransom. He also terrories the rural population in his feud.
Explanations: The big, round tower with the wooden balustrade is the high-security palce of the whole castle. There's the treasure champer and the dungeon for captured maneybags together with the torture chamber. The little wooden tower on the high roof, over which a green cloud is visible, accommodates the black cabinet. That's the place where Olivier tries to make black magic.

Still I am! But they are quasi ahead my front door. Neuschwanstein, Burghausen, Falkenstein, the Wartburg (where Luther translated the bible) etc. If not in Bavaria or Franken, they all are accesible in a one-day-trip. Not to forget the historical cities like Nrnberg, Dinkelsbhl, Rothenburg etc. who all achieved completely in their medieval structure.
serious, my dear fellow, if you ever come to Germany, you have to see some. It's an awesome experience!
