Gift: Dena Mason in Silent Hill (2nd of 2)
Explanation time: Remember this picture?

I did it kind of as a special bonus to the whole video that I did, thanking Lee for his help, also thanking Dena, his wife for letting me get in contact with him, but I always felt like I drew her poorly in that picture, so I felt bad, but.... Dena then at one point (as far as I recall) asked if I could make a picture for her like this, since I've mentioned wanting to do it. And yeah I shouldn't accept requests given how busy I am, but...... DENA NATALI.... end of story, I had to do it, and so I did, but with how complex of a deal this was, I made 2 images for her I originally figured I'd wait until August 17th, Dena's birthday, but then I finished the image before Christmas and kind of thought... AH WELL, it's a good Christmas gift, so here they are!
SECOND: And this is the more "funny" picture. Dena once, when talking about Silent Hill 3, mentioned the funny nod to Silent Hill 2, that is a scene where Heather looked at a toilet and then is grossed out at the idea of grabbing into it, asking herself who would do something SO disgusting... and Dena just cut to a clip from Silent Hill 2 where James did just that. That's already the point where this picture idea came into my mind, October 2009. And so I made a comic, and I even kind of tricked Dena into giving me instructions about this, while not revealing what this is meant to be. I asked whom her favorite character is... and that's how I got Lee to be James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2, then I asked which character she identifies herself with the most, and she said Heather, and that's how she got to be Heather. I had a hunch about things, hence this idea really worked itself out this well. I just stuck Dena in the first panel into the library since that's the scene where she meets Vincent and...... yeah I'm sorry, this is kind of stupid, I can't think straight, so much chaos around me. Also, I really like Lee, so hope he'll forgive me for putting him in this kind of situation, heh.

OH SNAP the comic! YEAH, I feel like I should be MORE ashamed of this, but it took a lot less time to make and it's kind of FUNNY, so I do feel happy about it, but I'm not sure it'll be as liked as the first heh.

WELL according to the Silent Hill wiki's page on Toilets .... yes, seriously, that exists:
[...] while in Room 203's private toilet within Blue Creek Apartments, James sticks his arm down the toilet in attempts to fish out the wallet swimming inside.
As far as I can read up, the wallet contain the combination for opening a safe somewhere. To clarify more about my decision here, here I forced this task upon Lee. In the game however James just willingly does this. It became a bit of a meme or thing about him. The game does well to personalize the characters, Silent Hill 2 is considered to be among the best games ever made, HOWEVER regardless of that there's moments in this game where people ask "Huh, isn't this a bit out of character for James?" which you could say is remarkable... but nothing tops this bit... instantly without hesitation diving his hand into a dirty toilet. This seems awkward for ANYONE to do, so people apparently turned this into a meme.

While thinking at it from toilet humor, putting your hand into slop to get it....there is a terror to that. Poop has to go out somewhere, maybe there is creature small enough that lives in there to bite your hand off. I would be scared too, even with my experience of picking up poop with a plastic bag.
I've heard that SH2 was being the best in the series, and one of the best horror games of all time. Just know the basics, but don't know the experience of playing one.....maybe someday I will.

In a game filled with such horrific images, it's strange that the toilet part is handled so "mah", like a trivial thing. And the scene itself also has no music, which makes it even stranger, like... this is a pretty horrid moment, and you're treating it like opening a door....
