So me and someone who is not a real person are celebrating our pride in two completely fictional characters, when suddenly an unexpected change occurs. One of us is geeking out about the change -- the other not so much.

Except, wait, are these two animals the actual characters (with or without our actual personalities/memories copied over), or just two members of the same species (who coincidentally look like them)? I don't know... Unlike my normal process, I didn't put much thought into this.
