This set of paw pads had two random brighter spots that appeared on the right paw and another 1-2 (i think) on the left paw. Not really sure how that happened, but its interesting. I've marked them unique because its not a mark I can reproduce intentionally.

Backings:
Unlike traditional backings like Felt and Fleece, we use a thin vinyl fabric composite. Traditionally the silicone needs to soak into the felt or fleece, but this led to an issue with whats called "silicone soak through", where the silicone soaks fully though the fabric to the other side. Silicone needs to be backed because very few things stick to silicone. (Hot glue doesn't stick to silicone) The vinyl fabric composite we use eliminates all occurrences of silicone soak though, giving you 100% of the backing that will stick to the glue you are using. We use pressure to bond the thin fabric composite to the silicone.
The backing was one of the thinnest backings we tested, but we found it provided a stronger bond with the silicone then other composites we tested. The thin backing eliminates the issue of a thick fabric moving back and forth with use, slowly destroying the bond within the fabric of felt and fleece that eventually causes the fabric to split in two, a glue fabric side and a silicone fabric side. While the bond is strong against vertical and horizontal forces (normal fursuit use). While strong, the fabric composite can be separated deliberately from the silicone and once the static bond is broken between the fabric and silicone, the fabric will pull away. We are focused on quality. If the backing fails on you, make sure you contact us because we replace (if new) and can re-back used pads within the first year at no charge to you under our 1 year guarantee.
