Burst and Sammy have known each other for years. They met in 4th grade, when Sammy stepped in to help Burst fend off a Scyther girl who had been bullying him. Burst was always been the smallest kid in his class, and didn't have very many friends because he was shy. When Sammy came along, Burst looked up to him, and depended on him heavily.

What a lot of people don't realize about Burst is that he's a very sensitive, very physical person. He never completely stopped hanging off of Sammy, and the more trusted of their friends often leave their home confused about their sexuality.
