this is usually done in a program . rendered and then post touches are added

nice I never seen anyone do that im kinda old class on hand drawing but computer are 3d that something new to me

If I'm not mistaken, this is Fractal art.
If you go on Deviant Art and browse Digital Art > Fractal Art, you'll find a lot of stuff made the same way as this (the variety is HUGE) :3

This looks like it could be very complicated, or very simple, so I'm kinda curious xD

actually looks pretty similar.. just a bit more rough and without after effects like the subtle lighting
