my style mostly revolves around giant robots, armored core, and other kinds of generally techie things. Yoji Shinkawa was my hero forever so I kind of ended up using all the same shapes and methods as him except that I can only /hope/ to be as good.

I am glad you like them! I... really am not that sure about them? Idunno. I just did things and didn't use a lick of color palette knowledge and just figured OH LETS USE THIS COLOR BECAUSE ALL THE OTHER ONES LOOK ODD HERE. He'd probably be 100% fancier if you did things lol.
Actually I like the bows on his feet too. I was going to repeat that on his arms but capething :U
