Slightly older piece of John-Norman inspired "Gor" fanart of the Priest-King Misk, a member of a super-intelligent race of mantis-like insects. I'm smitten with Misk, don't know what it is, but, a carapace is a sexy thing. This one was a quickie, didn't take too long, was one my original experiments in my current style.

Your version looks much less insect and much more human than I imagined the Priest Kings to be! I also notice the standard "grey alien" face there...
It's neat to find someone else who has read part of that series! I think I read the one after "Priest Kings", and quit after that...

Thanks for the comment! For some reason, I picture the Priest-Kings as slightly humanoid in aspect- perhaps due to that serious crush I've got on them all hehe. Just a little more accessable that way.
The "grey alien" face is of course deliberate, given the nature of the Priest-Kings =D. I absolutely adore what books of the series I've read, but, I've only managed to get a couple past Priest-Kings. As soon as I find the next one I can continue on, heheh. I really love Norman's focus on anthropology and culture, and wish he'd get some more credits for that, and not just the kajiras. *g*
