Comish - Burn the Sky

Epic scene comish for
MavWolf of his fursona, but dragonized!
Woot! I love doing dragon designs for people! X) I had. A freaking. Blast on this piece. 8| Mav just told me to have him perched on a cliff, roaring with all his might, and gave me free reign for the rest of the posing and background and BAM. I wanted to do something reminiscent of another piece I did for him before with the sparks and fiery look of the landscape.
I was going to add some shrubs to the cliff, but nah, didn't want to add any green to it. And I know, I know, light source should be the sun. Just imagine there's a nuclear explosion to his immediate left, then the moon behind him, heehee. (There might as well be a nuke going off next to him, hence the sparks and fire. Atomic dragons. O.o )
I also really love how the pines look there in the corners, with the glowing behind them. Burn, baby, BURN!

I think this is (one of) your best works to date. The colours are awesome.

Hehe, I liked another user's explanation of a pit of lava. :p Getting the lighting right (especially in this perspective and scene) with the sunset is quite difficult I guess, everything facing away from the sun would be very dark. XD
