That's always the hard part...I know people who won't even consider a Starter unless they see all the evolutions. I guess I like the Cyndaquil evo-tree, because I often see art of it with or without the fire and it looks cool either way. As far as fire-starters go...! (I usually prefer the fire-types, but..........ugh, I just could not like Chimchar........)
You seem to be interested in power, so let me educate you a little while I search for you. It's sort of this thing I like to do sometimes, especially towards learned wizards such as yourself. Power isn't something you put on or take off like a jacket. It's something you just ARE.
