Why tread though snow and swampy ground when you have a trusty (read - grumpy and usually unwilling) mount to carry you?
This isn't any of my characters in particular, just a generic flynx, probably a border guard or something, perhaps out looking for people lost in the taiga deep forest of Oronsk.
