His body is enchanted, much in the same way a sword or shield is enchanted. This does mean that they are not mere buffs, but permanent runes empowered by rituals and large reserves of magic. On his feet are fleet foot enhancements, on his arms are several prepared spells he can cast without any verbal or somatic components and are instantly cast without preparation time. On his back is a transformation spell for wings, flight, eagle eye and endurance.
