Golden Eagle - foot study
Holy CRAP I love these feet!!! You can also notice the hallux (first toe, facing backward) is a major source of force in subduing/holding prey. So robust compared to the outermost toe. But yeah - more Color Theory studies for the major painting.

People don't realize the trust of an Eagle on a person's arm... they could just crush the bones if they wanted too but they don't.
