Y'know how people like to post "First!" in a comment when they think they're the first comment?
Well ... that's never me. And being the first-ever commissioner for someone I think maybe has never happened in all the years I've been commissioning. And there's a lot of those years, let me tell ya. >.>
So, I'm very happy I got to be first! ^_^
I'm also very happy with how he turned out! OMG, he looks totally rad in your style!
I like that you linked the character ref. I don't see artists do that, like, ever, but I think it's a really cool idea. That way people can see what you were working with. It's especially handy when someone's asked to draw some critter that usually looks a certain way, but that particular person needs it drawn differently. For instance, when I get Rooth'roo commissioned, some artists really want to draw him like how a true kangaroo would look, with full pads and narrow feet and not so long ears and so forth, but Rooth'roo has a bit of snowshoe hare influence, so his design is awkward, even for a roo. By linking the ref, the artist could basically say, "Look, I know how roos are drawn, but THIS one is weird, so stop bugging me about the pads." ;)
You did GREAT! >:^)
You mind if I re-post, with credit and links and such?
Also, is this the full-rez version? It's higher rez than FA usually posts at, which means you must've updated the submission with the full rez file. Did you mean to do that?

Yes! I've had the issue before, with the strange hybrid anatomy and such, hence why I tend to link the original ref~
Thank you! I'm glad you like it ^^
Sure you can repost it to your account as long as you credit :3
For some reason FA always makes me upload things twice. So I'm not sure... I can email you the original file if you like but I'm pretty sure this one is the full version.

That's entirely up to you. :) You own the artwork, I just 'own' the character, so I can't tell you what you can and can't do with the art.
Generally speaking you want to reserve the highest res version for yourself (and your customer), so that you can make and sell quality prints if you want, but no one else can (and the customer usually agrees to use the high-res for personal use only). You can also use the higher res version as "proof of authorship", in case your © is challenged by someone else uploading your art as theirs. The challenge is harder if they get a hold of the highest-available res file.
In essence, it's in your best interest to control the release of the highest res file.
On a technical level, I will say this -- it seems like it might be a transparent PNG or JPG, and since FA tries to resize things down to fit 1280x1280, it probably tried resizing it and lost the transparency in the process (I've seen this myself; only GIF seems to predictably survive the resizing process). So if you opt to post a lower res version, shoot for 1280 on the biggest side (or smaller), and make sure the transparency is right before you upload it. That might explain why FA makes you upload things twice?

... I should add that, although you own the art, it's very considerate of you to ask the customer their preference. My preference is to have a smaller resolution file in the submission. But you are the boss in this regard, and I won't hold it against you if you just wanna leave it up as-is.
