Groove is part of Team Max and is surprisingly strongest member. Groove always enjoyed music at a young age and eventually started practicing dance. He always wanted to have his own dance studio. With no place to live however his dream may never have come true until he heard about Max and the incredibly large tree he and everyone else lived in. Max refused to have such a strange Pokémon on his team. Groove in a surprise turn challenged Max to a battle to prove his worth. Groove managed to defeat Hambo, Maury, and Swallo using his special dancing combat style combined with his tongue based fighting abilities earning a spot on the team and a new home to stay at. He gets along with everyone except Max since his dancing lifestyle mostly annoys Max to no end. He owns a large wardrobe of different outfits for several styles of dance though he prefers his disco clothing. Despite his love for dance he has a large appetite and makes it habit of making meals out of his partners. (He prefers belly dancing on a full wriggling stomach.)
